The Job in One Paragraph

Each clip is approximately 60 minutes of continuous, head-mounted, first-person video of you performing a normal "Day in a Life" activity in a real-world venue — authentic and unscripted, the way you'd naturally do it. Treat the routine as a guide, not a script. It's expected and OK if not every sub-step happens in every clip. The goal is a genuine "day in a life" feel.

Rentals Are Also Available!

Rentals are a great option for those who don't own the camera or don't want to purchase it. You can rent temporarily to complete the project and then return it. We've seen different rental services online, and we recommend them — sometimes as low as $50 for a week of rental.

Rules of the Shoot

  • The activity must clearly start and end inside the clip.
  • Audio: only from people who have given consent. No audio in busy public places (cafes with lots of background voices, gyms, transit, etc.).
  • After each clip, log: start time, end time, objects used, and any deviations from the planned routine.
