Requirements

Phone, mount and how to record

Accepted phones

Apple iPhone
iPhone 12, 13, 14 and 15 (all models). iPhone 16, 17 and 18 lineups, except the “e” models.
Google Pixel
Pixel 6 through Pixel 10, base and Pro models.
Samsung Galaxy S
Galaxy S21 through S26, base, Plus and Ultra models.

No other phones can be used.

Mounting

  • Head-mounted at forehead level, angled down so your full palms and fingers stay in frame.
  • Keep your hands the focus of every shot, with wrists and fingers visible throughout the task.
  • Mount and adjust the phone before you hit record. Don't include footage of putting it on or fixing it.
  • One camera only. No chest mounts, no hand-held, no fixed or third-person cameras.
  • Record your own hands doing the work. Never film someone else working.

Recording

  • Clips run from 60 seconds up to 30 minutes. Recording stops at 30, so start a new clip to keep going.
  • Do the task you selected, at a natural pace, with a real purpose.
  • No staged loops, idling, long pauses, or busywork like cleaning an already clean counter.
  • Use your phone on camera only when it is part of the task. Browsing, social media or texting is flagged.
  • Good lighting and a clear, unobstructed view of your hands.
  • No sensitive or inappropriate content, such as nudity, violence or harassment.

What gets a video flagged

  • Recording a screen or replay. Filming a video of someone else doing the task, or replaying earlier footage.
  • Nonsensical actions. Repeatedly wiping a water bottle, or sorting peas back and forth.
  • Tasks done without purpose. Sweeping with no dirt, folding clothes that are already folded, or wiping a clean counter again and again.
  • Stationary or trivial motion. Sitting still, extremely slow movement, a camera mounted with no real interaction, or a black screen.
  • Third-person perspective. Filming another person instead of capturing your own first-person view.
  • Repeating flagged behavior. Continuing to record in dark rooms, or repeating an issue we already gave you feedback on.

Respect the workplace

  • Post signage at the site and get written consent from any coworker who may appear on camera.
  • If someone opts out, keep them out of frame or stop recording.
  • Never record restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, private offices, medical areas or lactation rooms.
  • Keep payment cards, sensitive screens, confidential documents, customer details and health information out of frame.
